Plot[]

History[]

Enan's mother used to be one of the Blood Knights, an order of fiendish magic users who served the king of humans (also known as the 16th daksha). When fiendish magic became dangerous, the king ordered that his knights quit using it. Every knight disobeyed, and they were executed. Since then, he has decided to get revenge on the king for his actions, along with his companion.

Season 1[]

Enan is mentioned to Kubera Leez as the first owner of the Golden Knight. He was a fighter who became a priest when he received the bracelet.(4)

Season 3[]

Chapter 53: Ananta[]

Enan comes across Maruna on the border of Taitalika. He warns him to be careful if he is a superior sura for the gods who are present do not take well to suras at the time. Maruna finds the man's behavior strange and chooses to inconspiciously follow. Along with his companion, Enan discusses that he will be taking part in some tournament. He has no innate divine affinity but he is confident that he can win because he has the Golden Knight bracelet.[2] Enan then drags Maruna into a restaurant within the cities. Maruna is first annoyed to see the menu but gets interested when Enan orders a snowflake apple for himself. Maruna takes it from under Enan's nose and is surprised to find out that it is delicious.

Within the city, rumors spread that the human king has collected all five Vajras. Enan asks Maruna where he plans to go. Maruna notices that the Golden Knight was given specifically to Enan and surmises that staying with Enan might give him an opportunity to meet god Kubera.[3] Enan Reimia registers for the competition in the city. He explains that he is a pureblood fighter who mainly uses Kubera magic. His friend later chastises him for lying, as Enan is able to use magic only through virtue of the Golden Knight bracelet, since his divine affinity is practically nonexistant. The winner of the competition will become a member of the royal family. They ask Maruna if he would perhaps like to participate as well.[4]

1-30 Enan and Kubera

Enan and the Golden Knight

Maruna and Enan are at a stadium where they observe the first matches of the tournament. It is announced that matches between halfs and other humans will be held separately and will intersect only in the final round. Enan states that the king and gods are only interested in the matches of purebloods and quarters. A magician in a match uses Sanyoga Menaka, a spell that lets them nullify damage. Biting back his pride, Maruna asks Enan to explain more about the fiendish magic he might encounter. Enan explains them to him.

Suddenly, an announcement declares that only purebloods will be allowed to compete and all other participents will be sent back, they will get their admission fee refunded. Rumor has it that the king dreamt that someone with sura blood will bring about disaster. Enan has trouble convincing the organizers that he is a pureblood but they are finally convinced when they register his divine affinity of 2250 which would be impossible for a quarter. Maruna recalls that Enan actually has 0 divine affinity and this higher number is caused by the golden knight.[5]

It is soon time for Enan's performance. Enan kills his opponent quickly to progress as soon as possible. Enan beats another opponent and raises to the top 16.[6]He finally progresses into the semifinals. A group of participating magicians come chat with Enan in good nature. One of them is Artram, a revolutionary Creation magician and priest of Creation. An attendant comes for Enan with word that the king wishes to speak with him privately. People speculate that perhaps Enan is to be appointed as Priest of Earth.

Enan meets with the king, Maruna and the girl are observing in hiding. The king reveals that he has recognized Enan as a descendent of the knights who survived his slaughters. And then, to the surprise of all, he falls to his knees and apologizes. He feels that he has committed a great evil and has admiration for the knights who would rather burn than break their contracts with nastikas. He must have accumulated many sins due to the resulting grudges. Enan feels the need to clarify that the knights chose not to break their contracts because they knew the nastikas would then come for revenge and likely threaten the king. As things stand, the king misunderstood their reasons. The king is surprised by this interpretation and claims that a god who read the knights' minds told him something that would contradict it. At that moment, Indra shows up, putting an end to the conversation.[7]

Indra asserts that the human king was right to punish the knights. The king grasps the vajra and his entire attitude changes, now expressing scorn for Enan. Enan and the king fight, destroying the palace all around them. The king has the upper hand, and Enan appears defeated. The king makes an arrogant speech over his body. He then calls out Kubera, making it obvious the second god did not go unnoticed. Yet Kubera is nowhere to be seen. Indra feels that Kubera had been scheming towards this moment. Suddenly, Enan regenerates due to his bracelet and he attacks the king with a Sanyoga Ananta spell. The king is defeated.[8]

The human king awakens surrounding by his attendants. Enan is tied up before him. The king immediately requests that he is released. The king explains that he did not act of his will and does not remember his actions. His only desire was to apologize. Once again, he falls to his knees and he offers to accept Enan into the royal family and make him Priest of Earth. A hooded man steps beside Enan. It is Ananta, claiming that he came to retaliate since he did not like the request of the contractor who used his magic just then.[9]

3-222 The King apologizes

The king apologizing to Enan

The people around speculate about Ananta's identity. Enan attempts to pretend that Ananta is a merchant to whom he owns money. To his surprise, Ananta plays along. However, Ananta asks for Enan to remove the Golden Knight bracelet. When Enan expresses worry at the people watching, Ananta stops time. Then, time continues to flow again.

The people in the room all bow before god Kubera who is still standing beside Enan. Kubera asks the king to reveal whether Indra was the one who ordered the murder of the knight order. if The king cant reveal it, then he will have pay for the crimes of murder along with blasphemy for blaming a god. however, if he confirms it was Indra, then Kubera will call upon Indra and check the truth with him.[10] The king denies Indra's involvement in his actions and claims to have received his oracles from planetary gods. Kubera finds this hard to believe for his insight implies that someone of equal or higher rank than himself must have been involved. Enan's friend interrupts declaring that she knows the true mastermind. She says it is a being whose name they do not know and are unsure if they are a god, theirs is the temple of time. Kubera asks her to go to the temple with him and Enan insists on tagging along.

Kubera, Enan, and Enan's friend reach the temple of time, Maruna follows them from hiding. Kubera deduces that the girl could not possibly have known the truth on her own, so he pressures her until she admits that she heard nothing and only knew what was said from Kinnara. Kubera figures that she must have been afraid of Kinnara's retaliation and he sets out to investigate the nastika. The girl worries about Kinnara's well-being since she considers Kinnara a person who reached out to her when she was in need. Enan suggests that the girl alerts Kinnara about Kubera by using her magic.[11]

Enan leaves the cavern and encounters Maruna outside. Kubera is already gone. Enan explains that his friend means to draw out Kinnara and that she needs to be alone. Maruna has a bad opinion on nastikas and disapproves of bringing one over. Enan attempts to argue. Enan also explains that his desire for revenge isn't as great as the girl's. She was merely the sister of a merchant who traded with the Knights and thus it was unfair that she got enslaved. She saw Kinnara as a savior. A light shoots up from the cavern, leaving a crater behind. Maruna and Enan see Kinnara - now Airavata (her form changed to what we know from the current timeline) standing over the girl with her spear.

Enan rushes forward without thinking and casts Sanvega Ananta.[12] Enan attacks Airavata and gets crashed into a wall. Airavata decides not to kill him in respect of the girl. When he seems unable to accept the decision, she suggests altering his memory. Enan casts Sanyoga Ananta and Airavata freezes in time. He rushes to pull out the spear from his friend. Maruna helps him. Airavata unfreezes and expresses anger at the two. Before she can harm them, Kubera picks up the spear and faces off Airavata. Enan picks up his friend and takes her to safety. Yama arrives at the scene and proclaims that Airavata was supposed to live with the consequences of bearing two names and should prepare for the afterlife.[13]

Maruna carries Enan and his friend, taking on sura form to get the humans away quickly. Enan is calling out to his comatose friend with the name Kinnara. Maruna wonders if that was the girl's name from the start. Maruna evades a ball of light that nearly hits him. When he looks back to find out who is attacking him, he sees his father, Garuda.[14] He worries that his father might misunderstand if he sees that Maruna is carrying humans so he forces Enan and the girl to get off.[15]

Enan is later found unconscious, with his friend Kinnara looming over his injured body.[16]
