Parr Hael is a half of Yaksha clan heritage and a member of the Kalibloom Fighters Guild.

Appearance[]

Parr has long, medium-gray hair with a pair of cat-like ears at the top of her head, and the same color cat-like tail. Her skin tone is a deep brown but a lighter shade than her hair. She wears a red mini-dress with a revealing front with black lace criss-crossed across her chest, and matching red high-heeled open-toed sandals.

Leez Haias once assumed that Parr had normal "human" ears in addition to the cat ears on top of her head, but Parr showed her that she only has the cat ears by lifting up her hair.[1]

Personality[]

Parr appears to be incredibly cheerful, though she tends to get a little emotional. As noted by Teo, she is the type whose thoughts can easily be discerned just by looking at her face.[2] In heated situations, it seems that Parr will take a rational approach, and try to minimize conflict.[3] Parr also cares greatly about Teo, admiring and respecting her.

Plot[]

Season 2[]

Chapter 18: The Test of the Sword[]

(5) Parr is one of six candidates given the first chance to draw the Sword of Return during the Test of the Sword due to their high scores. She is sitting on some steps with a flushed look on her face when Ran and Leez enter the waiting area.

(7) During Leez's turn to draw the sword (while actually fighting with Sagara), Parr approaches Ran and asks if he remembers that when he was little, he and she and Rao Leez... but Ran screams in fear, jumps back, and tells her he has no idea what she's talking about.

Chapter 20: Grudge[]

(2) Parr reports to Teo on fighters willing to aid in their search for Elwin. Parr notes that Teo really considers Elwin as a daughter, not just a half she's sponsoring. Teo looks pensive.

(4) During the search, Teo asks Parr if she can see anything in one direction, with Parr responding in the negative. When Teo is unwilling to leave the fighter group behind once they suggest that she should return to the city, Parr attempts to soothe Teo by pointing out that their group was large enough to keep itself safe. When Gandharva encourages Teo to continue searching with the rest of the fighters, they all express their suspicion at this man, but Parr quietens them down.

(6) During the search for Elwin, Parr marvels at the way the sky looks outside the barrier, then attempts to cheer a dejected Teo up. When Gandharva once again suggests that Teo leave the barrier, Parr explains to Gandharva why Teo can't leave the barrier, especially since Atera was attacked recently. She is the first to notice Sagara approaching them. Teo orders Parr to leave immediately and find the other fighters and she complies.

(7) Sagara orders Hura to chase after Parr.

Chapter 21: Frozen Tears[]

(10) Hura questions Sagara's decision to let Parr go, noting that the action isn't typical of her, and decides there must be a hidden reason for it.

(11) A group of magicians and fighters, including Parr, are searching for the nastika that they presume is now in human form. They also ask Parr to tell them if she sees the ones who attacked Teo before. Parr hopes Teo is safe.

(12) Parr is with the group of fighters who spotted Gandharva after he returned to human form after his rampage, but she stays behind when only the fighters with god-class items approach him in order to question him about Teo. When the fighters are killed by Maruna, Parr, who blames herself for their deaths, has to be calmed down by Asha.

Chapter 23: The Good/The Line[]

(1) Ran is in possession of the Neutral Bow again, and tries to thank Leez for finding it, but she tells him it was Parr and he should be thanking her, but she'll do it herself since he is unwilling due to his Half-phobia. Later, Parr meets up with Leez in the woods so they could join up with the group searching for Teo. They talk about Ran's Half anxiety and how they just can't figure that guy out. When Leez suddenly vanishes, Parr calls out to her. Parr is later in the group with Mr. Kasak when he locates Leez and Yuta.

(8) After Teo's body is found frozen in ice, Parr tearfully explains to Leez how she ran away from Teo's attackers in order to find help, and blames herself for not staying behind and fighting. Yuta somehow finds her words insincere.

Chapter 24: Taboo[]

(3) A meeting is held at the Kalibloom Fighters Guild to help Teo learn of the events that happened during the gap in her memory, and Parr testifies that the one-eyed man befriended by Teo had been helping the sura attackers and tried to get Teo to go outside the barrier.

Season 3[]

Chapter 36: Another Beginning[]

(4) Parr is among Teo's investigative team that approaches the half village that Gandharva and Maruna have taken refuge in. All the cities are conducting investigations on the increase in sura appearances, and this team is doing that as well.

(5) When Parr mentions that there have been sura sightings in the area, there is a boom in the distance. The fighters team up to defend against the advancing suras, and Gandharva attempts to convince Maruna to help. Maruna is hesitant due to being worried over getting recognized as the one who slaughtered the Kalibloom fighters seven years ago, but he gets convinced. Maruna quickly takes charge when another sura attacks and shoves its mouth closed. As he begins to feel relieved that nobody recognizes him, Parr stares at him in shock.

(6) Parr is confused as to whether or not Maruna is really the sura that killed her friends or just a half that looks like him. When a fed up Maruna spreads out his wings, a shocked Parr appears convinced that this "half" was the sura from seven years past.

(8) When the villagers express their surprise that Runa was so strong and not just a defender, Parr suggests that he may actually be a superior sura pretending to be a half. The suggestion is quickly shot down by the villagers who fully support Runa.

Chapter 37: Threat[]

(3) In Kalibloom, Parr is meeting with some people, asking them if they recall anything about the sura from seven years ago, such as a distinguishing pattern on the culprit's face or something. The magicians express their annoyance, and state that they are not halfs, and have only normal vision. One person in the group turns to Parr and asks her how they would remember the face of the culprit if they can't remember the hair and face colors, and a person chimes in saying that if they had used 'Hunter's Eyes', they would have seen it properly. Parr remembers that someone was indeed wearing the item, but everyone stops talking when they try remembering who that person was. After a period of silence, the magicians start talking about food, and invite Parr to go out with them. Parr refuses, saying that she will be meeting Teo soon, and after they go, she starts doubting herself and wondering whether she was wrong.

In Teo's house, Gandharva tells Teo and Parr a convincing backstory about Maruna as the four of them eat. Parr stares at Maruna throughout the whole exchange, so in sura speech, Gandharva asks Maruna why the Yaksha half keeps on looking at him, and Maruna says that he does not know. Teo asks whether Parr is interested in Maruna, since she's keeps staring at him, and Parr absentmindedly says yes. Realizing what she said in a moment, she vehemently denies being interested in a guy like him. Parr apologizes when she calms down, saying that she was thinking of someone else. Teo asks if she was was worried that he will be a strong contender, since this year the Fighter Championship will be held. Parr denies that, and Teo says that she was kidding. Parr feels frustrated that she can't convince Teo alone. (4) When Teo asks Elwin whether she can give a tour to the pair (as Teo needs to go to the guild with Parr), Parr questions whether it is all right for Elwin to spend time in this way, as many assignments are in full-swing in this time of the year. Elwin tells her to not worry because she already finished her assignments, which earns her praise from Teo. Teo then asks Parr to come with her, and Parr tries to protest against leaving Elwin by herself, but Teo tells her to not worry and leave.

Parr tries to tell Teo that leaving Elwin alone is a dangerous thing, since she is afraid that Runa is a superior sura, saying that she tried to tell Teo in the village, but the opposition of the halfs there was too severe. She emphasizes that her suspicions are not because of his strength, but because she saw him seven years ago. Teo agrees with that, saying that since she had lost her memories, she had been questioning Elwin for every single detail she remembers, since all the fighters who were with her that day died except for Parr. She says that the Teo Rakan who showed goodwill towards strangers died seven years ago, and Parr starts crying. Teo panics at the tears, but Parr assures her that she is crying tears of relief, since no one else believed her. Teo apologizes for that, and justifies it by saying that Parr's weakness is that her face shows her every thought, which would have given everything away; Parr does not deny it. Parr asks what Teo's plans are for now, and Teo replies that Elwin told her that the superior sura will not carelessly kill halfs from allied clans. Teo does not think that he would be carelessly violent, since took the effort of pretending to be a half. She deduces that he must be holding some hidden motive to come into the cities despite the gods being active, and says that rather than sticking close to him, it would be more effective to have Elwin pretend to help him to figure out his motive, until the gods arrive.

Chapter 38: Devastation[]

(1) At the Temple of Chaos, Parr notes that none of the temple fires will re-ignite, but Clari does not think that it is a problem. Teo realizes that Chandra is trying to stall Agni, but has no idea why. Parr then wonders if the city will be damaged (in a fight between Chandra and Maruna), but Clari assures her that the Chaos barrier will disrupt attack transcendentals, plus they now have a priest candidateā€”Kaz, who left for the gardens because "Leez" was pestering him.

(3) A shocked Parr, Clari, and Teo catch sight of Elwin with Maruna. Parr thinks to herself that she thought Chandra would've caught him by now.

Chapter 39: The Value of a Life[]

(7) As a crowd gathers inside the Kalibloom upper checkpoint, Clari and Parr remark how Agni's arrival made it possible to get everyone safely to the checkpoint, and they presume that since he is unable to use large attack transcendentals due to the Chaos barrier, he probably took over the barrier and turrets.

Chapter 41: Your Seven Years[]

(4) After Teo reads a message sent by Airi, Parr, noticing the look on Teo's face, asks her about the message. Teo simply downplays it.

Chapter 44: The Meaning of Revenge[]

(1) At the ruins of the Temple of Chaos, Parr tells Teo that recovery magic is not working on the main building, so rebuilding will take time, and that she has the cost estimate from Creation brand Brimo. Teo responds that there is no point in rebuilding, and bitterly complains about Kali and the foolishness in worshipping her. After Teo walks away, Parr overhears others gossiping about Teo's behavior and yells at them to stop spreading rumors.

(3) A drunken Leez is violently yelling and swinging her sword at someone that no one else can see inside of a bar. Parr and Clari can hear the ruckus from the street outside. Clari notes that it is the only bar in Kalibloom that bans halfs from entry, and she also reveals that she has been feeling depressed lately. Both fighters agree that they do not want to offer their help; however, a bar employee who recognizes them runs out and implores them to help in subduing a very strong fighter who is wielding the Sword of Return. Now inside the pub, Clari gripes that Leez is commiting the crime of attempted murder by using the sword on ordinary citizens, but Parr notes that this is a person who attends meetings with priests, so if the gods are lenient, she could get off scot-free. As Leez continues to yell about how the village where she lived for 15 years with her mother was destroyed in an instant, Clari tells Parr that this is another lie. Parr suggests that she just let it go, but Clari disregards her advice and storms toward Leez.

(4) After Clari is demeaned by Ruche for not thinking things through, Parr quietly tells Clari to leave the bar with her.

(6) When Ran is put under suspicion for entering Leez's room, Parr mentions to Elwin that he can hold his liquor and that Ran's behavior is not affected when drunkā€”he just falls asleep. Parr then asks Leez if she is really unable to remember anything, which Leez confirms. When Leez then asks Parr if someone was sent to the temple yet, since the gods can see everything about what happened with Ran and her, Clari fed up with listening to Leez, storms out of the room. Parr tries to explain that she is in a very bad mood, and that she said some bad things to her yesterday, thinking to herself that Leez has no memory of it anyway, and maybe it would be better for Leez if she did not mention it.

Suddenly, to everyone's surprise, Chandra appears in the window, and tells Parr that attempting to be considerate and deceiving Leez would only hurt Leez further. Deceiving Leez as she already deceives herself, it becomes impossible for anyone to keep a sound mind in that kind of situation. Chandra then explains that he came not because of someone they sent, but because this guy had contacted him immediately, indicating the empty space beside him. Parr and Elwin look bewildered, but Leez shows no reaction. Chandra explains that the invisible guy was also present during the night of drinking, then requests that Ran be released immediately since he has a task to do.

(7) Inside the Fighters Guild, Parr wonders out loud about what sort of task they were summoned for, and why Teo was not included. Parr then notices that Teo is staring at some paperwork in her hands, and asks her about it. Teo replies that it is nothing important, and asks her to call Clari back inside. Parr informs her that Clari left earlier, so Teo asks Parr to sit at her desk while she leaves to have a talk with Airi.

Chapter 46: Soul[]

(2) A curious Parr asks Elwin what she was writing, to which Elwin responds that Teo asked her to write up some diary entries to fill the gap in her memory after her revival.

(3) Teo thinks back to how she had asked Elwin, Parr, Clari, and Zard for their opinions on whether or not to use a method that would allow her to return to her old self, including her original soul and memories. Parr had sighed and responded that the memories are not worth it.

Chapter 47: Words That Never Reached You[]

(1) At the Kalibloom Fighters Guild, Parr, Clari, Airi, and Elwin discuss Teo and Siera's disappearance and the fact that Agni is searching for them. They decide to search as well, while keeping the news from spreading to the city.

(2) In the Chaos Forest with Airi and Clari, Parr asks if they should be searching here, since if even Agni is unable to find Teo and Siera, she doubts that they are near the city. The group is suddenly startled by the appearance of Clophe.

(14) Clari asks if they can trust the half to guide them, and Parr replies that they have little choice, but since Airi knows him it should be okay.

(15) Parr and the rest of the search party return to Kalibloom with Teo.

Chapter 48: Separation[]

(16) Parr and other fighters and magicians watch the monster fight taking place outside Kalibloom. She is carrying the godly items she was tasked to look after by Airi Yui. Zard Blain is called upon to take the Earth barrier, as priest Siera Sies is missing. When Parr suggests that Leez, as an Earth attribute triple could hold the barrier, Clari Utas coldly replies that Leez probably has no interest in protecting the city. Parr attempts to defend Leez, but Clari is distracted, telling the half fighters to focus and tells Parr she should not carry the godly items around and rather put them in a safe place.

(30) When the fight is over, a half reports that the godly items have been stolen. Parr apologizes to Airi Yui and says she will announce this to Teo Rakan and take responsibility.

Chapter 49: The Golden Knight 2[]

(4) In Kalibloom, Teo is training with swords, accompanied by Parr and Clari. Teo voices disbelief that she managed to learn to wield two heavy swords within those seven years and feels like it would be impossible for her to relearn it. Parr tells her of the guilt Teo lived with for the seven years which led her to improve her skills. Teo, surprised to hear that she suffered that badly, suggests that what happened before her death is not her responsibility and that she should think of it as of something that happened to another person and move on. While Clari agrees with this sentiment, Parr seems conflicted.
